HBE provides water treatment services to a range of clients across the UK & Ireland. We have a current vacancy for an experienced
Legionella Risk Assessor to join us on a permanent basis.


About the role

  • As a Legionella Risk Assessor you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of commercial contracts which involves:
  • Conducting Legionella Risk Assessments
  • Creation of thorough, detailed reports
  • Provision of subsequent reports to required internal/external audiences
  • Water Temperature Monitoring
  • Travelling to client sites in the region as required
  • Communication with clients

Required criteria

  • Full clean driving license
  • At least 2 years' experience in assessing domestic hot and cold systems
  • Qualified through Water Management Society, City & Guilds, BOHS or equivalent
  • Competent in generating reports
  • Excellent communication skills
  • HSE document L8 (Fourth edition)
  • Legionnaires Disease, The control of legionella bacteria in water systems: Approved Code of Practice and Guidance on Regulations
  • HSE document HSG274 Part
  • The control of legionella bacteria in evaporative cooling systems
  • HSE document HSG274 Part
  • The control of legionella bacteria in hot and coldwater systems
  • HSE document HSG274 Part
  • The control of legionella bacteria in other risk systems
  • BS 85801: 2019 Water Quality
  • Risk Assessments for Legionella control
  • Code of Practice
  • Health Technical Memorandum 0401: The control of Legionella, hygiene, "safe" hot water, cold water, and drinking water systems

Part A:
Design, installation, and testing


Part B:
Operational management

  • Health Technical Memorandum 0401: Addendum Pseudomonas aeruginosa advice for augmented care units

Desired criteria

  • Knowledge of cooling water systems
