We are currently recruiting for a
Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst for a well-established Solicitors firm in the Swindon area.

This is a Permanent Full-time position with hybrid office working and a great benefits scheme.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Ongoing development and innovation of reporting for the whole business, with a particular focus on financial performance.
  • Regular reporting to senior stakeholders as requested; liaising with them to understand requirement, satisfy the requirement, provide insight and highlight issues for review.
  • Ensure we can report on systems outside our PMS (Practice Management System), as well as our core PMS system.
  • Ensuring all Reporting and BI platforms are maintained, developed and kept under constant review.
  • Develop new processes such as Rolling Budgets, Business Forecasting, Profitability Modelling and Benchmarking Reporting.
  • Provide management and leadership to the data and reporting team, in the delivery of an efficient and effective service to the whole business.
  • Understands and cooperates with internal firm procedures.

Comply with policies and practices including Risk, money laundering, the Firm's office manual and regulatory requirements external to the organisation such as the SRA Code of Practice.


Person Specification:


  • Full or Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CIPFA) is desirable but not essential, or equivalent experience (QBE).
  • Experience in working in financial & data analysis roles in complex organisations.
  • A good working knowledge of

Microsoft Office:

Excel (Pivot tables, lookups, etc), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams (essential), Access, Power BI & other data analysis tools (desirable).


  • Good level of data literacy, understanding data architectures, data linkage and structured databases.
  • Experience or ability to learn a programming language (SQL, and R are preferred).
  • Selfdirected; taking ownership for your own performance & achieving the outcomes expected for the role & able to prioritise workload as necessary & to work to demanding deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal, written, report writing, communication & listening skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts & analyses into clear, easytounderstanding presentations to senior partners to ensure decisions are made effectively & using theright information.
