Our client is a Chartered accountancy practice offering taxation, finance, accountancy and business advice, based in London.

Due to their current growth plans, they are looking for a Senior Accountant to support their management team with a wide range ofaccounting duties.

This role would suit a professional individual, looking to take the next step in their career.

Reporting to the Managers, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clientsproviding high-quality compliance and business services.

Key aspects of the role include:

Preparing financial statements for FRS 102 and more complex FRS 102 1A companies;
Preparing and reviewing VAT returns;
Calculating personal and corporation taxes and submitting relevant returns to HMRC;
Reviewing various works, such as financial statements prepared by trainees, audit work and company secretarial work and statutory books;
Offering support and training to clients using cloud accounting software and helping them to transition from their current systems;
Mentoring more junior accountants and trainees.

The ideal person

The position would suit someone with excellent interpersonal skills, who can build rapport with clients.

The person should be able to solve problems quickly and effectively and will have excellent and up to date technical knowledge.
