Marketing and Communications Officer

  • Based: Leeds City / Remote Starting salary £28k £30k_
Are you a creative marketing and communications specialist looking for a fresh challenge?

Are you inspired by the idea of making a difference to the lives of those facing homelessness?

Simon on the Streets_ _has been offering emotional and practical support for those facing homelessness in all its forms across West Yorkshire for over 20 years. As we evolve and expand, we have a brand new Marketing and Communications Officer role for a talented and enthusiastic marketeer._

This new and exciting role will allow you to develop our marketing and communications strategy and manage all communications and marketing activity to:

  • Promote the work of Simon on the Streets to new and existing audiences
  • Engage supporters to help our fundraising team hit ambitious fundraising targets
  • Advocate for the homeless and vulnerable people we support
  • Develop, build and maintain relationships with local media partners and the press to build our profile and be a trusted source in the area


With your experience and creative flair, you'll be ready to implement your own ideas and will work with our CEO to shape your role and future with Simon on the Streets.


Most importantly you'll have the enthusiasm, energy and initiative to capture the imaginations of both new and existing supporters - in short to tell our story - and the drive to get stuck in to day to day activities and have a real impact on the people we work with.


You'll be joining a dedicated and friendly team committed to supporting those facing homelessness and making a difference in our communities, offering hope, support and opportunities to those in need.

Closing date - 9am Friday 1st December
Interviews - Tuesday 12th December in Leeds


Job Types:
Permanent, Part-time, Full-time

Part-time hours: 37 per week


Salary:
£28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
