Role Purpose:


To support Hovis to deliver on its vision of achieving the best quality product every day, enabling growth in a sustainable way and creating superior value for its stakeholders.

The Health and Safety Coordinator, will ensure that all agreed targets and activities are achieved in a timely manner which keeps the site compliant.

You will be responsible for providing an unbiased and transparent auditing function for the
site/company.

In addition, you will support the development and implementation of sustainable HS&E management programmes and provide the strategic architecture for HSE that will ensure statutory accountability.


Knowledge, Skills, Requirements and Experience -

Essential:

  • Ability to influence effectively and present at all business levels.
  • Demonstrable track record of success/achievements.
  • Knowledge and experience in accident prevention programme implementation.
  • Working towards being able to design and conduct H&S based training for groups of people.
  • Proven experience of supporting HSE activity to deliver site strategy.
  • Level 3 fire risk assessment
  • COSH certificate
  • Working towards IOSH Managing Safety qualifications.
  • Developing knowledge and experience of complex risk areas DSEAR,PUWER,LOLER.
  • Exceptional verbal and numerate skills.
  • Proven competence with IT systems.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in an unionised environment.
  • ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 internal auditor
  • IEMA Certification
  • Working towards NEBOSH Diploma or recognised equivalent & Safety
  • Food safety Level 3
