Description

Our client, a highly successful and growing resourcing business, requires a full-time office-based Credit Controller to join their busy finance team.

Reporting directly into the Financial Controller you will have great exposure to the financial activities of the company and be a valuable member of the team.


What you will be doing:

Core Job

  • Use systems to consistently record credit control actions and communications
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure payments are received in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Resolving payment queries in a timely manner, so as not to holdup payment
  • Production and circulation of weekly debtors report, with robust comments against overdue debt
  • Overall responsibility of the companies invoicing, raising sales invoices with the assistance of a Sales Ledger Clerk, on a timely and accurate basis
  • Producing other management information reports that may help inform the debtors and cash position
  • Accounting for VAT correctly (standard VAT / CIS DRC VAT)
  • Allocating payments to customer accounts

Other Duties

  • These will include but not be limited to:
  • Ad-Hoc admin within the department supporting your colleagues
  • Providing holiday cover for other tasks as required
  • Managing files and folder structures

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working in a credit control role is essential
  • A relevant qualification in accounting or finance is desirable but not essential
  • Understanding of the dunning process
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders the ability to act and communicate in a professional manner is essential
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload, work under pressure and meet deadlines

Systems used

  • Infinity/Voyager (training will be provided)
  • Sage 50
  • MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, etc)
Hours are 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday and the role is office based in Brentford.


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
