THE ROLE
The opportunity has arisen for a Network Assistant within the SGN gas entry connections and biomethane section (based in our Edinburgh office - although some home working is available).
The role will provide opportunities to develop knowledge and skillsin the renewables sector specifically in relation to the expansion of biomethane gas throughout the SGN network.
The role will involve commercial and technical activities to support SGN in discharging its obligations to facilitate the entry of gas into thegas network looking forwards to a future decarbonised world.
- What does a Network Assistant do?_
- Develop and support the entry of gas into the SGN network.
- Prepare commercial contracts in line with industry codes. Support SGN's strategy for the future of the gas network.
- Preparation of quotations for capacity Studies and connection offer letters for distributed gas injection sites, along with local operating procedures.
- Processing distributed gas Initial Enquiries and capacity studies to meet the agreed standards of service.
- Attendance at project meetings to ensure compliance with Network Entry Agreements.
- Inter departmental liaison in the preparation and execution of entry projects.
- Production of statistics for weekly, monthly and annual reports.
- Processing accepted quotations, including invoicing and project number submission.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- With a positive and flexible approach to work, you will be highly motivated with good organisational, diagnostic and problemsolving skills.
- In addition, you need to be an effective communicator at all levels within and beyond your own team.
- A good level of technical knowledge on the operation of the gas network is preferred but not essential, with a technical qualification in an appropriate discipline desirable.
- A certain amount of travel will be required to fulfil this role
- Full UK driving licence
