A position has become available for a band 6 clinical physiologist to work in neurophysiology, based at the National Society for Epilepsy, Sir William Gowers Ward, in Buckinghamshire.


This unit is part of University College Hospital, coming under the umbrella of the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.


The EEG service at Chalfont undertake highly complex specialist diagnostic tests for, mainly adults, in an outpatient and inpatient setting.

The work we do here may also be used as part of a patient's work up for epilepsy surgery.


The physiologist will be expected to perform video-EEG telemetry, home video-telemetry, ambulatory EEG, prolonged EEG with video & routine EEGs.

There are 6 video-EEG telemetry bed, based in dedicated rooms, on a 26 bed ward.


There is ample opportunity to take part in research projects happening on site, and to attend relevant conferences and study days.

Current working hours are 8:30 - 4:30 Monday - Friday, these may change in time.
