We are looking for a hardworking, forward thinking, problem solving team player who displays attention to detail, can adapt to change and has flexibility of working with a positive attitude.

You must have a good standard of education, excellent inter-personal skills along with good verbal and written skills.

You should be computer literate, able to use LE2.2 system, and an ability to prioritise your own workload whilst supervising other team members is required.

The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination and supervision of the work of the Therapy Admin Team.

The primary function of this team is to provide admin and clerical support to the Allied Health Professionals and Health Care Scientists.

You will need to able to communicate and maintain good working relationships with the Therapy Admin Team, the wider Admin and Clerical Teams across all services managed by the Clinical Services Manager as well as the Allied Health Professionals and Health Care Scientists.

Liaison with colleagues in outside agencies e.g. Education is also required.


The post holder will support the Operational Support Manager and the PA to the Clinical Services Manager with data collection and analysis, including dashboards, audits, surveys etc.


The Therapy Admin Team forms part of the wider admin and clerical support to the Integrated Community Paediatric Service, Allied Health Professionals and Health Care Scientists and some cross cover in other admin and clerical teams may be required.

The Therapy Admin Team is based at Breightmet Health Centre.

To co-ordinate the work of the Therapy Admin Team.
The primary function of this team will be to support service processes e.g. New referrals, new/follow up appointments, clinic templates.

To assist in the delivery of administrative support within the Therapy Admin Team.

To organise, manage and maintain the use of information systems and meet quality and performance standards.

To ensure robust clerical systems are maintained.

To plan, organise and implement the clerical and administrative processes of the team, demonstrating effective office skills.

To work effectively with other team members and to contribute to improving the work of the team.

To prioritise own workload to meet service demands.

To prepare and maintain documents for storage and archiving following Trust guidelines.

To be responsible for processing requisitions and maintaining stock levels as required.

To be responsible for receipting, recording, monitoring and making payments in line with policies, procedures and guidelines.

To contribute to the scheduling, organising and co-ordinating of resources and meeting venues.

To build effective working relationships, both within the team and wider services within the Trust.

To deal courteously and efficiently with all enquiries from patients/professionals.

Use word processing and other IT skills (e.g. Powerpoint, excel, publisher, access) for the preparation of letters, memos, reports, presentations, forms and other resources to support the teams.

To maintain a high standard of accuracy in both written and typing work.

To develop an awareness of and implement current best practice in office management.

To supervise the clerical officers and participate in their appraisals.

To plan, deliver and monitor the induction, supervision and training of new clerical staff.

Undertaking of general office duties such as photocopying, filing etc.

To exercise good personal time management, punctuality and consistently reliable attendance to develop good and effective working practise.


To work autonomously using own judgment and initiative to prioritise workloads (own and other members of the Therapy Admin Team) to ensure deadlines and service needs are met.

To observe a personal duty of care in relation to equipment and resources used in the cause of work.
