We are looking for a Courier Driver working location is from your home address with a take home vehicle.Your home address must be in the Mid Wales area approximately hours from Shrewsbury and hours from Swansea, this is a full time position.
This role will be driving a medium size vehicle i.e., a ford transit which can be driven on the category B part of the UK driving licence.
The main purpose of these courier driver roles will be to contribute to the safe and timely movement and transportation of goods and equipment.
Using electronic and paper-based forms of recording jobs and items delivered and collected, making sure that all courier jobs are carried out correctly and to scheduled times.
The current vacancy is for a 12 hour period on call (15:00 to 03:00) but will be given a minimum payment if not called out, working days are Monday - Friday.
The role may involve some heavy lifting/manual handling of equipment and goods.
The Main responsibilities are:
To carry out courier journeys to various locations and to agreed routes and timings.
To complete digital and manual documentation required by both legislation and organisational procedures.
To maintain regular contact with the operations office using a range of communication systems.
To ensure all items are always kept safe and secure.
To always comply with the Road Traffic Act while driving and other relevant legislation connected to the vehicle.
To act as customer contact at delivery points of service, and relay relevant information to the operations office
To complete vehicle checks prior to use, and to notify any defects to the Operations Office verbally and by recording on appropriate documentation.
You MUST have held a Full UK Manual Driving Licence for a minimum of 12 months and have no more than 6 penalty points

£10.45 per hour
Job Location:
Home Address, Mid-Wales
Shift Pattern: 12 hour on call, Monday to Friday, 15:00 to 3pm.
Required licence or certification:
Driving Licence held for 12 months, with no more than 6 points.
You will be required to complete a DBS Check.
