Position Summary

Are you a talented communication professional with a passion for engaging others with stories that keep them informed and bring them closer together? Bechtel Energy needs an enthusiastic communication specialist who knows how to craft compelling content about people, projects, skills and culture.

If you are a curious, detail-oriented self-starter with an understanding of how to write and manage content from digital, print, social, webcast and in-person channels, you may be a great fit for this opportunity

In this position, you will constantly learn and grow within the company.

You will make meaningful connections, ask questions, research materials, and interview experts to create content that is accurate and interesting to internal and external target audiences.

You will reflect the Bechtel voice and tell the story of how we are executing cleaner energy solutions to support a sustainable future.

This position will be based at Bechtel Energy's London office in Park Royal and report to Bechtel Energy's Global Manager of Communications.

Key Responsibilities

Writing

Champion the Bechtel brand voice, writing new Bechtel content and editing submitted content for consistency, including info pages, metadata, teasers, press releases, blogs and interviews.
Partner with internal teams to support editorial needs

Posting/publishing

Support and coordinate with our Corporate Communications and deployed projectbased teams

Project/team support

Assist in developing communication strategies and associated communication plans
Foster and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders across the globe
Cover and support our projectassigned teams as required, which may include travel to regional locations to coordinate online and inperson events, record podcasts and videos, develop stories and marketing materials, and engage projectbased colleagues.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, PR or related field
Previous experience in journalism, marketing communications, or communications.
Portfolio of writing samples
AP Style writing (preferred), editing, proofreading
Demonstrated ability to effectively translate technical info into compelling content for targeted audiences
Capable with online publishing and testing (technical elements required for posts and websites)
Accurate, detailoriented, quick learner, selfstarter
Sound judgment, discretion, and ability to collaborate and maintain effective working relationships with diverse, global team members at all organizational levels
