Description
Early Years Educators work with and care for children from birth to 5 years. They play a massive role in supporting children to have the best start to their education.

As an Early Years specialist, you will personally help to close the gap and increase the life chances of the children you work with.


Working week
Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30am and 6.00pm but can be flexible.

Total hours per week: 40.

Wage will depend on age.


Expected duration
18 Months


The Role


Working alongside qualified Early Years Practitioners and professionals, you will work towards your own Early Years Educator Level 3 qualification.

Your mission is to provide exceptional early years care in a safe, nurturing and fulfilling environment whilst inspiring children to unlock their full potential through key skills and values which will establish them as gifted citizens of the world.


What will the apprentice be doing?

  • You'll create meaningful relationships with the children, your team and with parents to provide the best service for our families
  • Ensure that every child's wellbeing is met by providing a thriving and safe environment
  • Safeguarding all children in the setting and making sure any child protection concerns are always appropriately acted upon immediately
  • You will observe, monitor and support delivering activities and learning experiences linked to the EYFS
  • Ensure children's progress and achievements are regularly and effectively assessed and recorded. Including any activities, meals served, and medication administered
  • Meet the needs of individual children, having an awareness of any disabilities, family cultures, and medical histories
  • Learn and maintain high standards in the nursery
  • Support and serve food to children, ensuring any special dietary requirements are always met

  • Committed & motivated working hard to keep on top of coursework and observations. Utilising the support and expertise of your colleagues and our Early Years Apprentice Mentor
  • GCSE or equivalent English (Grade Grade 4/C) Desired
  • GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade Grade 4/C) Desired

The Training
You will be completing an Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship. The expected duration of this course is 18 months.

On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be awarded:

  • Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship
  • NCFE Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (EYE)
  • Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid OR Level 3 Award Emergency Paediatric First Aid
  • Apprentices will achieve an EYE qualification which has been approved to count towards the EYFS level 3 child: staff ratios
