Electrical Estimator
To be successful as an electrical estimator, you should be detail-oriented and have sound knowledge of electrical codes. Ultimately, an exceptional electrical estimator should be adept at reading building plans and demonstrate outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
Electrical Estimator Responsibilities:
- Analysing drawings to identify wire lengths as well as suitable outlet placement based on electrical codes.
- Amount, type, and cost of materials and fixtures needed for each electrical project.
- Determining the amount of labour required to complete each project and project duration.
- Determining the potential profitability of electrical projects to assist management in making sound bidding decisions.
- Completing and submitting competitive project bids in accordance with established guidelines and strict deadlines.
- Proven and welldeveloped communication skills which will enable an electrical estimator to work efficiently with the stakeholders of each works including contractors, architects, and other professionals that are involved in construction projects.
Electrical Estimator Requirements:
- Must have full drivers' licence and all relevant qualifications.
- Level 3 in Requirements for Electrical Installations (AM2).
- City & Guilds 18th Edition.
- Valid electrician's license.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Detailoriented.
- The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this position.
Salary:
£30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
