The Living Room, a distinguished abstinence-based addiction recovery charity established in 2000, is actively seeking a Group Counsellor with a minimum of 5 years in recovery to join our team.
This position involves collaborating with a group of qualified counselling professionals and trainee placement counsellors, all of whom have achieved long-term recovery themselves.
Our organisation provides support for individuals recovering from various addictions through a non-residential, community-based service that incorporates group therapy, a 12-step approach, and recognises addiction as an illness.
Our non-time-limited strategy yields results exceeding the national average by addressing the root causes of addiction through psychodynamic and psycho-educational methods.
We are seeking individuals with a minimum of 3 years of experience in addiction treatment at Level 4 or above Diploma in counselling, possessing appropriate assessment of need skills.
Crucially, we require applicants with personal experience in a 12-step fellowship and a track record of 5 years of consecutive abstinence.
