We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Research Management Community of Practice Coordinator to lead the development and delivery of the research management community of practice element of the tGHN platform.

This assignment will be for 12 weeks in the first instance, starting ASAP.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the development and delivery of the research management community of practice element of the tGHN platform.
  • Support with the setting up of project teams in all coordination centres, set up working groups and operational working practices across the networks and partnership.
  • Define monitoring and evaluation plans for each partner and for the project, including tracking of outcomes and impact.
  • Support with the development of Terms of Reference for governance committees that integrate the research management community of practice elements into them.
  • Develop, obtain signoff and deliver a detailed stepped plan to develop research management capacity in our partner institutions, identifying gaps and solutions and develop tools (workshops / templates / ecourse) that will allow each partner to demonstrate the capacity and capability to fully manage their research programme.

Selection Criteria:


  • Experience of healthrelated research administration.
  • Advanced numeracy skills with experience and understanding of financial management, accounting and analysis.
  • Experience of personnel management and good HR practice.
  • Experience of research grant costing and grant accounting, including an understanding of the accounting requirements of the major funding bodies.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide range of people within and external to the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage independently.
  • An ability to influence at all levels of an organization.
  • High level of computer literacy with expertise in the use of spreadsheets.
