P4 Recruitment are looking for an Education Progress Offer to join a the team for Looked After Children's Education Services in the Wirral for a 3 month contract.


Role Overview:


As an Education Progress Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting professionals to enhance the quality and completion of Personal Education Plans (PEP) and ensuring Government Funding is optimally utilized.

You will work collaboratively to improve educational outcomes for Children in Care in Wirral.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Maintain accurate records of children in care and their educational arrangements
  • Monitor and track the educational progress, attendance, and achievements of children in care
  • Provide support to schools and social workers to promote the potential of looked after children
  • Identify and address barriers to educational progress
  • Assist in the development and implementation of effective Personal Education Plans
  • Liaise with social workers to ensure regular updates on educational progress
  • Alert management about exceptional cases requiring additional support
  • Provide advice and support on social care and education systems.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Indepth knowledge of relevant educational legislation
  • Understanding of challenges faced by children in care
  • Ability to implement effective educational strategies
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities

Desirable Experience:


  • Experience working with vulnerable children
  • Familiarity with educational assessment and planning processes
  • Experience in providing school support

Additional Information:

  • High personal and professional integrity required
  • Clean driving licence and daily access to a car

Salary:
£165.00-£175.00 per day
