The Opportunity

  • This newly created role within our Product Development team will give you the opportunity to bring your wellhoned UX skills to bear on the challenge of optimising our B2B, B2C and mobile offering of jobs and employers to an everchanging set of job seekers.

Leveraging feedback, analytics, user insights and experimentation you will develop and implement projects that maximise engagement to drive customer satisfaction and business growth.


  • As the first hire in design, this is a highimpact role working alongside crossfunctional teams including product, engineering, analytics, data, sales and customer success (among others) to drive business results focused on user attraction, conversion,adoption and ultimately, revenue.

We are looking for a user-experience (UX) designer able to understand our business requirements and any technical limitations, be responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, and translating them into solutions, user flows, customer journey maps,wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes.

The UX designer will be expected to design the overall functionality of the product, ensure a great user experience, and iterate through user-testing.


Responsibilities

  • Translating concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
  • Facilitating the product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and usertesting experiences for web and mobile.
  • Identifying design problems and devising elegant solutions.
  • Making strategic design and userexperience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
  • Taking a usercentered design approach and rapidly testing and iterating your designs.
  • Collaborating with your colleagues, other teams and stakeholders.
  • Asking smart questions, being comfortable taking calculated risks and championing new ideas.

Essential Requirements - skills, attributes, experience

  • Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketch, Zeplin, Invision, Figma and the like is a must. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
  • Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobilefirst and responsive design.
  • A clear understanding of the importance of usercentered design and design thinking including planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility.
  • Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
  • Ability to clearly communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and the commercial business.
  • Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and stakeholders via a distributed model, to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.
  • Be passionate about resolving user pain points through great design.
  • Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
  • Deep experience of earning trust through regular communication with all members of staff on status, risks and change control.
  • Ability to influence crossfunctional teams without formal authority.
  • Enthusiasm, curiosity and a deep passion for technology and the 'Just now possible'.

Desirable/Nice to haves

  • Experience of a twosided marketplace (job search, dating, ecommerce platform, auctions, gig economy )
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum teams
  • Demonstrable prioritisation skills
  • Ability to demonstrate and report back on ROI of efforts/recommendations
  • Experience of international markets
  • Show a keen awareness of worldwide innovations, trends and competitive landscapes
