KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effective team deployment and development is vital to ensure the warehouse operation provides the highest levels of operational efficiencies, service excellence and productivity within the business.
  • This role requires you to lead and coordinate the actions of the business towards the common goal of helping the company achieve its business targets. To lead, guide and support the Dispatch teams, Sales/Hire and consistently strive for excellence andpromote best practice in all areas to achieve gold standard customer service.
  • Maximising resources and minimising costs by developing optimum efficient storage solutions Ensure that all employees follow the Organisation's Health and Safety Policies at all times.
  • THE TEAM
  • Monitoring and reporting on the general wellbeing of your team. Identifying and resolving potential issues, conflicts, or tensions.
  • Providing your team with a fair but firm guideline as to the expectations of their role as recruited
  • Ensuring all team members have undergone training in Manual Handling and are able to complete their jobs safely.
  • Holding a weekly meeting with the driving team to discuss issues, identify areas for improvement and congratulate at times of success.
  • HR management of your team of drivers
  • Efficiently managing and monitoring a team of drivers and helpers including logging and keeping track of working hours, overtime, holidays, and sickness/absence
  • THE ADMIN
  • Ensuring all areas of the team's "admin" tasks (i.e., filing invoices) are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Ensuring the team are aware of, and following, all processes identified as part of the warehouse/delivery members role.
