Job Summary
The Sales Representative is responsible for the sales of MGI portfolio including Sequencing and automation products in the UK.

This position will be responsible for developing sales strategies and tactics that achieve the revenue goals of the assigned region.


Responsibilities

  • Seek out new customers and sales opportunities for driving revenue.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the regional business plan to meet assigned target of revenue and strategic objectives.
  • Achieve the quarterly and annual sales and profit plan as assigned.
  • Accurately forecast customer demand (i.e., product quantities and dollars, orders, shipments).
  • Build long term relationships with Key contacts at target customers.
  • Use various lead generation tools to enhance the lead pipeline.
  • Update the CRM system and manage the sales pipeline by reporting opportunity evolution and probabilities.
  • Initiate promotional events for the company.
  • Represent the company at trade events.
  • Follow company guidelines/practices/policies and provide timely development plans to correct for under performance.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that MGI's commitment to customer satisfaction is performed, delivered, and constantly improved.
  • Drive a high level of interaction and engagement between other departments (e.g., Marketing, Customer Solutions) and local sales team & staff to ensure coordination of activities and alignment on common goals.

Requirements:


  • Master's degree or above in related field.
  • Excellent sales experience in the Life Science Capex industry.
  • Strong motivation and drive to make an impact on the NGS market
  • Strong technical background in molecular biology and NGS is required.
  • Strong communication skills to internal and external audiences.
  • Problem solving and customercentric attitude.
  • Patience and the ability of tactfully handle customer negotiations
  • English speaking required

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Pay:
£40,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
