Job Overview
We are looking for an Apprentice Carpenter to join our experienced team at Stowe School. This job is for someone who is interested in learning all aspects of the trade from design to installation.

You will develop into a tradesperson with excellent industry knowledge, capable of working on your own initiative as well part of a team.

You will be expected to attend and engage with the College course associated with the apprenticeship program (Days and dates to be confirmed).

You will have a passion for carpentry and a desire to develop this as your chosen career pathway.

Purpose of the job:


  • To work closely with the existing carpentry team to Undertaking a varied range of tasks to equip you with the range of skills and experience you need for a successful career.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


  • To plan and undertake allocated work tasks
  • To keep all areas clean and tidy.
  • To follow all health and safety regulations.
  • To have all PPE equipment available when requested (supplied by the school)
  • Always be clean and tidy around the site.
  • To ensure workshop is clean and tidy tools, equipment and machinery are periodically, adjusted before use.
  • Maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Establish working relationships between your work colleagues.
  • To shadow colleagues as and when directed.
  • To develop into a tradesperson with excellent industry knowledge, capable of working on Their own initiative as well as a good team player who has knowledge and experience to Assist as and when required the team going forward.
  • To attend and engage with the College course associated with the apprenticeship programmed. (Days and dates to be confirmed)

Training and Support

  • You will be working towards a Level 2 City and Guilds in carpentry.
  • You will be required to attend training at college 2 years. Course fees and travel will be covered by 'The Stowe Group.'
  • Whilst on the scheme, we will support your technical development through a wide range of tasks.
