School based in Brighton looking for a Data Manager
Description
The key responsibilities of a Data Manager will be;
- Provide a high standard of strategic and operational support for the collection, collation and analysis of data; maintenance and upkeep of the school MIS.
- Responsible for the comprehensive administration, development and analysis of data related information
- Produce deep level analysis of pupil progress, data in response to half termly data input and examinations, both internal and external, and report as appropriate to audience.
- Ensure internal assessment deadlines and assessment reporting deadlines to the Trust are met.
- To produce and distribute termly reports to parents
- Ensure accurate collection and recording of prior assessment data for pupils joining during the school year including controlled assessments, coursework and portfolio work
- Ensure all centrally held data is accurate and current and complete the PLASC highlighting to SLT where issues may adversely impact on whole school progress and attainment
- Working with the Assistant Principal (AP) to maintain and further develop templates and mark sheets within Bromcom to measure pupil progress against targets
- Working with the AP assessment set up systems to support the negotiation of targets within the school's target setting policy
Profile
The successful Data Manager will have;
- Experience working with electronic and paperbased data collection and storage systems
- Experience of analyzing, interpreting and presenting data and information
- Experience of computerised data management systems preferably in a school setting
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences.
- Strong team working skills and the ability work effectively with people at all levels.
- A willingness to undertake further professional development and training.
- Ability to maintain high professional standards at all times.
