Description

We are looking for a dynamic, driven, and proficient individual to take on a vital role within our school for young adults with special needs.

You will be working closely with the principal, academic manager and SENCO to assist in the day to day running of the school and devise long term plans and strategies.

You will be based in the office but will be at the heart of the school and will interact with staff at all levels.

You will need to be motivated, trustworthy and discrete in your duties in what can be a very rewarding but demanding environment.


Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Coordinate school activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies and legal statutory requirements
  • Supervise staff and divide responsibilities to ensure performance
  • Manage agendas/travel arrangements/ training/appointments etc. for the learners of the school and staff
  • Support budgeting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data
  • Track stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary
  • Submit timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned
  • Assist colleagues whenever necessary
  • Support in EHCP outcome meetings
  • Remain in regular contact with different local authorities and parents
  • Maintaining a safe and secure environment for both staff and students

Requirements and skills

  • Proven experience as a school administrator, office assistant or relevant role
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and office management software (ERP etc.)
  • Good knowledge of school legistlation and requirements
  • Qualifications in secretarial studies will be an advantage
  • Education up to Alevel or equivalent; BSc/BA in office administration or relevant field is preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of the health care industry
  • Knowledge of EHCP requirements an advantage
  • Familiarity with the SEN field a definite advantage
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding in school and care environment advantage
  • Experience or knowledge of Ofsted expectations

Salary:
£30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
