We are recruiting a Communications Coordinator for NIHR BioResource's newest programme for children's health research, the DNA, Children + Young People's Health Resource, who can create content and oversee all of its communication channels.

You will need to be motivated to deliver important messaging to the public and research community about the work of the D-CYPHR programme.

You also need to be comfortable working collaboratively with colleagues across NIHR BioResource, as well as working under your own supervision, to succeed in this role.

NIHR BioResource is a unique and powerful resource for studying disease mechanisms and for investigating the links between genes, the environment, health and disease, enabling scientific discoveries as well as facilitating translational medicine for the benefit of patients.

The post holder will support the Communications Manager on the delivery of a multichannel communications strategy to help raise the profile of the D-CYPHR programme to a variety of audiences.

The role will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well experience working within a communications or marketing team.

The role holder will also be required to support the Communications Manager and team with the planning and delivery of local and national events including venue selection, coordinating attendees, capturing content from the event and other on the day activities, as required.

Ideally you will have:
Social media and/or digital marketing experience Demonstrable factual and theoretical knowledge of communications/marketing Accuracy and attention to detail

The post is available on a fixed-term basis until 30 November 2024 in the first instance. NIHR BioResource is funded by the National Institute for Health & Care Research (NIHR) on a 5-year funding cycle. It was announced last year that NIHR BioResource will receive new funding over the next 5 years.
