Lead Project Professional


Location:
Frimley, Portsmouth (Broad Oak) or Filton, we offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements


Salary:
Circa £57,000 - depending on skills & experience


What you'll be doing:


  • Drive delivery Project Managers and Supply Chain Managers to deliver agreed milestones
  • Lead a team of Planning Professionals to ensure that schedules are built and maintained in P6, including definition of milestones, major tasks and resource requirements
  • Ensure projects within the Senior Project Manager portfolio make adequate risk provision to ensure successful, on time delivery and maintain credible risk and opportunity databases
  • Provide the Senior Project Manager with actionable information pertaining to project delivery performance
  • Draft the monthly programme reporting pack and maintain the Estimate at Completion (EAC) reports

Your skills and experiences:


  • Experience working in a complex delivery project, preferably in a Project/Programme Management Office
  • Data Analysis experience and ability to communicate complex issues
  • Experience of coordinating with peers to create action plans and influence peers and senior members of the team to ensure plans are completed
  • Understanding of schedules with an ability to work, criticise and correct schedules i.e using Gantt Charts

The Above Water Surveillance and Command & Control team:

This role supports the Above Water Surveillance and Command & Control Team which consists of 30 people managing a significant portion of the largest British Defence project.

A geographically dispersed team, managing 8 individual projects valued at 0.5 Billion pounds with complex suppliers across the country.
