The vacancy

Maintenance Operative - Grounds**We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Operative to join our Estates team here at Doncaster College.

The role will involve the day to day Maintenance and Caretaking of the college estate. The team are allocated to maintenance activities on a daily basis and the work is varied.


You will undertake tasks related to both planned and reactive maintenance, tasks could be setting up a classroom with furniture, painting walls, tap runoffs, moving and carrying equipment - it is a very varied workload and this list is by no means exhaustive.

The team keep our campus clean, tidy, and well maintained.


We would prefer if you had some experience of working in the education sector, general building experience or time served as a tradesperson or caretaker.

Relevant experience in an estates role and well-developed and effective communication with the confidence to deal with others at all levels.
