Key Objectives

  • To help ensure the smooth running of the Finance Department on a daytoday basis
  • To process the purchase ledger to ensure that supplier invoices are kept up to date
  • To keep supplier accounts reconciled

Key Tasks/Duties

  • To carry out any other duties as deemed necessary by your line manager or any other member of the Senior Management Team
  • Answering the telephone internally and externally
  • Working with SAGE 50 To process purchase invoices and credit notes after matching to purchase orders
  • Sending out queries to suppliers
  • Reconciling Supplier Statements
  • Reconciling Credit Card Receipts and processing of the credit card
  • Updating Supplier Account Details
  • Raising of Purchase Orders
  • Providing Support and Assistance to the accounts team
  • Collating a payment run End of Month
  • Excel data entry

Requirements:


  • A working knowledge of Sage will be an advantage but not essential as training will be given
  • To have an enthusiastic and positive approach to tasks and setbacks.
  • To have an organised and methodical approach to tasks.
  • To use own initiative and selfmanage\prioritise own workload.
  • To have a Team Approach and attend\ contribute to meetings as required.
  • To be punctual in attendance & complete tasks by agreed deadlines.
  • Flexibility when required.
  • To follow all company policies & procedures including quality, environment, H&S and in staff handbook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High levels of efficiency are achieved and bettered.
  • To have a good work ethic and positive approach to all tasks.
  • To maintain the company image as required by your role.
  • Train coworkers and assist in training when needed.

Essential Skills

  • Attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic and able to use own initiative.
  • Knowledge of company systems and policies.
  • A thorough awareness of any safety issues.
  • Excellent standards of verbal and written communication.
Computer Literate, able to create & maintain MS word, excel.
