Practice Manager, Dispensing Optician - £3- 40k.

My client are a leading provider of optical healthcare to the general public from a national network of high street stores.

Attractive working hours and stores closed on a Sunday.

The Role:


To coach, mentor and develop practice team, to be an ambassador for the company's vision and values and ensure that the client journey is being delivered consistently to ensure our customers receive obsessively great service.

Driving performance to achievebudget.

Client Journey - own your practice's client journey so that obsessively great service is delivered at every step and ensure that the sales targets and deadlines are achieved.


Core competencies/skills required for this role:
Ability to coach, develop and inspire teams.
Ability to lead and implement change.
Excellent Communication skills

  • Ability to be understood verbally and written
Ability to build relationships with Eye Care Clients.
Ability to diagnose and solve problems
Ability to plan, prioritise workloads and delegate accordingly
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail

Essential experience:
Experience managing a team or deputising in the absence of a line manager and carrying out the required management duties
Successful target achievement

Coach, mentor, train and develop your team, for example managing performance by providing regular constructive feedback and conducting review meetings.

This includes communicating effectively to implement and lead change when necessary.
Ensure that the practice is adhering and achieving to all operational standards set, including smart booking and diary management.

To manage all aspects of practice rota's ensuring that there is sufficient cover available and all holiday requests actioned within 7 days.

Work with other practice managers in area to maintain adequate cover across the area.

Understanding of the MI to maintain areas of the budget and ensure that all areas are within spend and stock control is tightly managed.
