The Log Cabin Charity based in Northfield Avenue, Ealing provides a setting where children and young people with additional needs/ disabilities can socialise, grow and have fun alongside their mainstream peers.

The Log Cabin Charity has a new exciting opportunity for a
Senior Leader.

As a
Senior Leader for The Log Cabin Charity you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of services.

You will oversee the day-to-day running of the session, manage a team of Playworkers and volunteers, and ensure the highest standards of care for our service users.

Reporting to the
Playground Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating activity plans, staffing rotas/ arrangements, managing resources, health and safety, safeguarding and maintaining strong communication with all stakeholders.


Responsibilities:


  • Operational Oversight
  • Staff Management and Leadership - To provide supervision and daily management in order to ensure the effective running of the service
  • Rota Management
  • 4. _Care Planning for service users
  • Quality Assurance to enhance the overall quality of care and play opportunities.
  • Facilitating Training and Development of staff training
  • Health, Safety and Risk Management
  • Implementing Safeguarding and Well Being policies to protect service users from harm, abuse, and neglect.
  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Collaboration and Networking with families, service users, and external professionals to assess and meet their needs

Person Specification:


Qualifications:

Minimum of Level 3 qualification related to childcare, youth work, health & social care, or a related field is desirable.


Experience:
A minimum of
1 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory

Knowledge:

Sound understanding of child development and the challenges faced by children and young people with disabilities and their families, as well as knowledge of relevant legislation in childcare, OFSTED regulations, and best practices in the field.


Management and Leadership Skills:

Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate a diverse team of Playworkers and Volunteers.


Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with families, professionals, and stakeholders.

IT Skills:
Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook )

Organisation and Time Management:
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage rotas, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Child-Centred Approach:
A commitment to providing child-centred care and support, with a focus on promoting independence, enjoyment, and well-being.

Problem-Solving Skills:
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to think critically and resolve issues effectively.

Collaborative Nature:

A collaborative and team-oriented approach, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders to achieve common goals.


Empathy and Sensitivity:

Demonstrated empathy, understanding, and sensitivity when working with children, young people, and their families, showing respect for diversity and individual needs.

£25,500.00 per year
