Exams Invigilators

Hours:
As required

Monday - Friday

Fixed Term until end July 2024
Preparing for and carrying out the invigilation of examinations in accordance with awarding body regulations

Carrying out other exams-related tasks as directed by the Examinations Officer.


The role will include:

  • To prepare, oversee and clear up after the internal examinations and/or GCSE examinations under the direction of the Examinations Officer.
  • Check desks for graffiti and take appropriate action.
  • Check materials present against check list for examination.
  • Complete all attendance registers and take appropriate action for nonattendance.
  • Supervise entry and exit from the examination room.
  • Ensure that JCQ, Exam board and school rules for conduct of examinations are adhered to.
  • Report any breaches or suspected breaches in security to the Exams Officer immediately.
  • Distribute and collect materials as directed by the Exams Officer.
  • Start and stop the examination at the appropriate time and having due regard for any student entitled to extra time.
  • Organise completed scripts/papers in register order ready for dispatch.
  • Hand ordered scripts to the Examinations Officer.
  • Comply with the schools safety procedures regarding signing in and out at Reception.
  • Follow all reasonable instructions given by the Examinations Officer or Headteacher.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running and secure running of all external internal examinations.

OTHER INFORMATION


As this job will entail working in a school environment, the successful applicant will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
