We are currently recruiting for Agency Chefs to join Berry Recruitment, for Care Facility positions based in and around Darlington, on a temporary cover basis.

Shifts for cover over February and March;
February

Saturday 11th February 9-6pm

Monday 13th February 2-6pm

Tuesday 14th February 2-6pm

Wednesday 15th February 2-6pm

Thursday 16th February 2-6pm

Saturday 25th February 9-6pm

Sunday 26th February 9-6pm

March

Saturday 4th March 9-6pm

Sunday 5th March 9-6pm

Saturday 11th March 9-6pm

Monday 13th March 2-6pm

Tuesday 14th March 2-6pm

Wednesday 15th March 2-6pm

Thursday 16th March 2-6pm

Sunday 19th March 9-6pm

Friday 24th March 2-6pm

Saturday 25th March 9-6pm

Monday 27th March 2-6pm

Tuesday 28th March 2-6pm

Wednesday 29th March 2-6pm

Thursday 30th March 2-6pm

Duties will include but are not limited to;

  • Food preparation and reheating prepped meals
  • Labelling of prepared foods for Clients rooms where required
  • Using heaters and hot plates, microwaves and ovens
  • Making up cold suppers such as sandwiches and puddings
  • Follow menus, however you must have the ability to prepare other meals, as patients may request something alternative to the menu e.g. soup, ice cream etc.
  • Cleaning kitchen areas and used pots/pans


Chef Whites and suitable kitchen footwear will be required on all premises, along with face masks and any other applicable uniform, as and where required by each individual Client.

Pay rates for these roles are between £12 - £18 per hour, depending on Clients and Shift Days (Weekend Uplift)
