Management Accountant

Gloucester (good flexible working)

£40,000 - £45,000
A growing Gloucester business, backed by private equity, are recruiting a commercially-minded Management Accountant.

Their PE owners are very easy to work with and their involvement has led to a greater emphasis on business partnering and data-driven insight,all of which will be a feature of your role.

We're therefore looking for a first-class communicator who can provide insightful analysis to a range of stakeholders.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Preparation of monthly management accounts pack including commentary and variance analysis
Business partnering operational colleagues to support/drive performance
P&L review to identify trends
Participating in monthly management reviews to provide insight
Balance sheet management including key account reconciliations
Line management of 1 and eventually 2 members of staff
Playing an active role in systems and process improvements
Solid management accounting background together with a commercial mindset
A first rate communicator who can build strong relationships
Experience of managing a small team could be useful but is not essential
Proficient with Excel and good general experience of systems/ERPs
