Assistant Project Manager
- £35,000 - £42,000 p/a

Our client, a large and well-respected public-sector provider based on Bristol, is looking for an Assistant Project Manager with previous experience of planning and processing construction-related schemes.

The primary objective will be to provide high quality project management for simple capital projects over a wide range of values.


As Assistant Project Manager, the successful applicant will deliver a completed signed off scheme to agreed programmes on time, within budget, and to specification.

This Assistant Project Manager role is incredibly varied, with key responsibilities including:

  • Assessing and preparing service user briefs, identifying the service requirements and objectives
  • Liaising with engineering Estates Officer, external consultants, and other professionals as needed
  • Producing feasibility reports and business case reports for consideration
  • Managing the tendering process including compiling tender documents, inviting contractors to tender, assessing tender responses, managing contractor site visits, etc
  • Carrying out risk assessments to all aspects of the work process and implementing safety measures to ensure high standards
  • Checking for project design, specification, procurement, cost estimation, and project management within financial limits
  • Responsible for new works and delegated schemes involving both direct labour trade staff and contractors
  • Managing relationships with clinical and nonclinical staff, external contractors, and all parties affected by the works throughout all the stages of the project
  • Coordinating the commissioning of the project including postcontract works, removals, relocations etc
  • Directing and coordinating the work of architects, cost consultants, design engineers, and property professionals to ensure programmes are met
  • Coordinating the production of outline budget costs within agreed protocols
  • Creating appropriate project management structures and appointing project team members

£35,000.00-£42,000.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
