Help Desk Operator


Employment Type:
Full-time, 40 hours per week


Salary Range:
£23,800 - £25,000 gross per annum

Position Overview:


Key Responsibilities:


  • Respond to customer inquiries and technical support requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to identify the root cause of problems.
  • Provide stepbystep instructions and guidance to customers to resolve technical issues.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate department or senior staff member for further investigation.
  • Document all customer interactions, technical issues, and resolutions accurately in the help desk ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with other team members to share knowledge and best practices for resolving technical issues efficiently.
  • Keep abreast of the latest technology trends and updates to provide the most uptodate support to customers.
  • Maintain a positive and empathetic attitude when interacting with customers to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding customer service and technical support.

Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in a customer service or technical support role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fastpaced environment.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
