Learning Support Assistant
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (
EYFS) Learning Support Assistant to join our team.
- As an
EYFS Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to children in their early years of education. - You will work closely with the teaching staff to create a positive and nurturing learning environment that fosters the holistic development of children aged 35 years.
This is a full-time role starting immediately and continuing in September.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the
EYFS teaching staff in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and lessons. - Support individual children or small groups in their learning, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Observe and monitor children's progress, identifying areas for additional support or intervention.
- Provide feedback and contribute to the assessment and evaluation of children's development.
- Support children's personal, social, and emotional development, encouraging independence, selfconfidence, and resilience.
- Assist with the management of the learning environment, ensuring it is safe, engaging, and wellresourced.
- Promote positive behaviour management strategies and help maintain a calm and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Requirements:
- Enhanced Child DBS on update service or willing to apply.
- A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare would be advantageous.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and principles.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning and meeting individual needs.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism, safeguarding, and child protection.
