Learning Support Assistant

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (
EYFS) Learning Support Assistant to join our team.

As an
EYFS Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to children in their early years of education.
You will work closely with the teaching staff to create a positive and nurturing learning environment that fosters the holistic development of children aged 35 years.

This is a full-time role starting immediately and continuing in September.

Responsibilities:

Assist the
EYFS teaching staff in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and lessons.
Support individual children or small groups in their learning, both inside and outside the classroom.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Observe and monitor children's progress, identifying areas for additional support or intervention.
Provide feedback and contribute to the assessment and evaluation of children's development.
Support children's personal, social, and emotional development, encouraging independence, selfconfidence, and resilience.
Assist with the management of the learning environment, ensuring it is safe, engaging, and wellresourced.
Promote positive behaviour management strategies and help maintain a calm and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Requirements:

Enhanced Child DBS on update service or willing to apply.
A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare would be advantageous.
Sound knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and principles.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning and meeting individual needs.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
A commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism, safeguarding, and child protection.
