The Opportunity:


Amey is mobilising 2 Regional Accommodation Maintenance Service (RAMS) contracts as part of the MOD's Future Defence Infrastructure Services (FDIS).

The RAMS contracts are across Central and Northern England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The contracts include responsive and planned preventative maintenance as well as improvement and refurbishment projects to approximately 25,000 homes

What will this role involve?:


As Administrator you will provide administrative support for the effective, compliant and timely delivery of departmental duties in accordance with Government Regulatory and Statutory undertakings, complying with all Health & Safety and Environmental standards and policies.

Daily tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Answer all incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally.
  • Preparation and maintenance of reports as required by management utilising MS Excel, CAFAM or other bespoke IT systems to monitor business performance.
  • Support management including booking suitable facilities, confirming site access for nonpass holders, for Amey and Supply Chain personnel
  • Support management in providing accurate data to allow optimal solutions to customer requirements and to resolve end user issues.
  • Where required, maintain the office filing system in accordance with Amey policy, both electronic and hard copy files.
  • This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.

What are we looking for?:


Ideally practical experience in administration including a good understanding of administration requirements in a busy, fast paced environment, data processing and management and prioritising tasks to meet tight deadlines.


  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Understanding of CAFM Systems
  • Producing accurate Utility data
  • Planning, directing and controlling activities
  • Influencing a wider team to ensure compliance with KPIs
  • Providing administrative support and advice to managers across the business
