The role

The difference our new PMO Lead will make
As a PMO Lead, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary.

The purpose of the PMO Lead role is to monitor and report on projects, programmes and portfolios and ensure appropriate governance is in place to deliver the benefits in line with strategic objectives.

Day to day, you'll be responsible for managing governance and supporting delivery against the PMO service catalogue i.e. assurance, risk, governance, planning, reporting/data, learning from experience.

You work closely with the Portfolio Hub Manager to deliver an exceptional service to our internal and external customers to demonstrate progress, control and alignment to our strategic goals.

This role provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office/onsite and days working from home.


Essential experience

  • Degree level or equivalent qualification in Business/Finance/Engineering/IT/Mathematics.
  • Project Management Qualification (APM, PRINCE2, P3O)
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to influence or negotiate
  • Experience of working as part of a PMO team within a large complex P3M (Project/Programme/Portfolio Management) organisation
  • Knowledge and experience of working in partnering and collaborative working environments with customers and other companies
  • Knowledge and experience of data architecture and data preparation
  • Knowledge and experience of data analysis and effective reporting/data visualisation
  • Knowledge and experience of managing stakeholders
  • Experience of providing decision and governance support
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Competent Microsoft Office skills
  • You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
