Description

As a Goods-In / Out operative you will be responsible for the efficient coordination of goods in and out of our facility in Blaby, ensuring deliveries are scheduled and receipts processed to maintain a smooth flow of work for the Goods-In/out team throughout the day, moving goods around the laboratory into/out of racking areas.

The role requires you to have daily communication with our customers and suppliers.

You will accurately book goods onto our system and efficiently manage the collection or delivery of small and large items to customers using either a courier service or our own service.

Key Responsibilities,

Unpack and receive in-bound deliveries to ensure a smooth flow of work throughout the day

Communicate with internal and external customers and colleagues to prioritise tasks, ensuring that customer requirements are met as efficiently as possible within planned resource

Accurately booking in items following the company process

Maintain manual and digital records of transactions as appropriate to ensure correct invoicing to Customer

Picking/ packing

Quality control, PAT testing, and final inspection of goods before dispatch

Maintain a clean and tidy work place

Ensure health and safety compliance at all times

Key Requirements,

A good command of the English language, both written and oral

Excellent Customer Focus and people skills as this is a customer facing role.

Good general IT skills including knowledge of warehouse systems

Attention to detail and ability to work accurately, even under pressure.

Good time management

A flexible attitude and a 'can do' approach.

Excellent communication skills and a pleasant phone manner.

Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Own transport due to location


Please note that some additional hours ,or flexibility of hours, may be required based on business needs, additional duties and other projects which may be assigned, which will include driving the company delivery vehicle during holiday or sickness cover.

*This is not an industrial position so a FLT license is not required to apply.
