£24,000 - £25,000 depending on experience

We are working exclusively with the stunning Gilpin Hotel & Lake House in Windermere, a 5* luxury hotel who pride themselves in having a passionate and friendly team, in recruiting a new People & Culture Assistant to deliver warm and friendly HR experience.


This opportunity would be perfect for an administrator who is looking to progress with a career in HR and is open to opportunities to develop with professional qualifications.

You will be absorbing knowledge from a highly experienced team.

The role is full time (40 hours per week) but these can be worked over any days.


The role:

This is a fast-paced and varied role, and will include:

  • Acting as the first point of call for all internal and external People Team queries
  • manning the team phone and inboxes so ensure efficient responses in line with service expectations
  • Responding to employee queries, and escalate and redirect issues as required to ensure accurate information is maintained and timely advice is provided
  • Drafting contracts and letters, and managing contract end dates, probation review dates and following up with managers to confirm extensions
  • Planning and supporting delivery of onboarding and induction programmes along with leavers process
  • Carrying out development administration to plan, support, and deliver training and development to drive teams forward
  • Working with Heads of Departments to implement new processes with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring training is completed and updated, and progression attained
  • Supporting performance development through reviews and monitoring
  • Supporting culture and workplace activities, such as internal communications, staff engagement surveys, and staff events planning and delivery

About you:


This role would suit someone who has a strong administration background and is serious about a progressive career within HR.


Along with this, you should:

  • Have excellent verbal & written communication skills to a variety of stakeholders
  • Be confident with all Google Business products (Gmail, Gdrive and Google Docs) and Microsoft office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Be able to work independently and as a team and know where your skills need support of others
  • Be selfmotivated and highly organised proactive at updating on progress to deadlines
  • Strive to bring out the best in your team, driving enthusiasm and passion

Salary:
£24,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
