What you will do:


  • As the Data and Regulatory Reporting Lead for Mortgage at Metro Bank, you will be responsible for working with senior leadership in Mortgage Operations to embed data governance practices, including extraction, validation, controls and submission for various reports
  • Work with a variety of stakeholders to ensure mortgage regulatory reporting is accurate, validated and submitted
  • Meet strict deadlines imposed by the regulator to make sure we meet our reporting deadlines
  • Ensure key data elements are controlled whilst proactively seeking to improve data quality
  • Ensure first and second line of defence are provided with sufficient detail to support their review, challenge and approval
  • Ensure all reports are completed, accurate and delivered on time in line with the latest reporting requirements
  • Support Mortgage Operations to ensure data governance practices are imbedded, looking for ways to reduce data risks across all teams

What you will need:


  • You may have experience in a Regulatory Reporting within financial services
  • Experience identifying risks relevant for regulatory reports and designing and implementing mitigating controls
  • Strong communication skills, to respond to senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience meeting the strict regulatorimposed deadlines, to ensure reporting deadlines are met
  • Proven ability to analyse, assure and explain reports, including trends and movements
  • Experience working with mortgage teams to produce regulatory reporting
  • Strong analytical skills to assess the impact of data changes on Metro Bank
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure all aspects of regulatory change are considered and delivered
  • Experience developing relationships with other departments across Metro Bank
