Description:

Please see this exciting opportunity to lead a joint venture between the University Chester Shrewsbury campus and the Shropshire Telford Wrekin Integrated Care System which will implement skills clinics across the Shropshire footprint for the benefit of our preregistration and registered workforce to support development and maintenance of clinical skills relevant for practice.

This is a new, innovative project and we would really like to talk to you if you think you have the skills and energy to help us shape development and delivery of our vision.

We welcome opportunity to have a conversation with you if you have any flexible working needs and if you would like to work full time or part time /job share.

University of Chester Shrewsbury Campus (UCS):

The Faculty of Health and Social Care is a thriving, multi-site organisation offering a diverse portfolio of pre/post-registration and post-graduate studies for health care professionals including nurses, midwives, and social workers.

The Faculty is committed to the enhancement of nursing, midwifery, and social care practice through an integrated approach to educational provision, practice development and research.

Clinical skills teaching within a simulated environment is an increasingly important part of the faculty's core business and the faculty has made significant investments in improving our resources to enhance the simulated clinical environments across its provision through development of Outreach Skills Clinics for Assessment (OSCA) across other localities.

We are looking for an individual who is dynamic, committed and passionate about practice learning and assessment/learning using simulated technology/equipment.

The successful applicant will have clinical knowledge and experience of the professional requirements of health and social care education programmes including assessment and supervision.

The post holder must hold a current nursing registration and possess excellent clinical and practice learning knowledge and skills, service evaluation and data collection skills, problem solving, communication and leadership skills.

Experience of teaching clinical skills using simulation technology is beneficial but not essential.

The post will involve travel to a range of sites across STW ICS to deliver the Outreach Skills Clinic for Assessment to student nurses from all fields with the potential to deliver OSCA to a range of non-medical pre-registration professions.

We have a comprehensive induction programme for new starters and a mentorship package to support you through your role.
