Tax Manager

I am working on behalf of a well-established legal company in the Canterbury area. They are looking for an experience Tax professional to join their Tax Department as a Tax Manager

You will head up their tax department and looking to take the department from strength to strength. You will manager a team of Tax Advisors to deliver high levels of tax advice to their clients.


KEY TAX MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • To advise on and complete Tax Returns for submission to HMRC in relation to Individuals, Estate Administration and Trusts;
  • Management and control of all Income and Capital Gains Tax matters on Probate, Management and Trust files;
  • Checking tax computations and arranging payments;
  • Responsibility for compliance with HMRC's Trust Registration System;
  • Dealing with queries internally from colleagues, and externally from clients;
  • Responsible for keeping up to date with legislative and procedural changes to the Income & Capital Gains Tax regimes and informing the wider department of any such changes;
Experience needed for Tax Manager Role

  • Relevant recent private client tax experience gained in a professional environment
  • Managerial and Leadership skills
  • ATT or equivalent or Qualified Solicitor/CILEX
  • Good all round education; both literate and numerate
  • Applied working knowledge of CCH or similar personal/trust tax programme
  • Familiarity with practice management systems
  • Strong Income Tax and Capital Gains Tax for Estates, Individuals and Trusts experience
  • Team Management
  • Client management and communications

What you will receive:
