Career Teachers are working in partnership with secondary school, in Rochdale, who are looking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced PE Teacher.

The role would be full-time, from as soon as possible until the end of the academic year.

Responsibilities of the PE Teacher:

Teaching pupils across KS3 and KS4 in Physical Education both practical and theory
Supporting the development of individual education and overall pupil progress
Have a positive mental attitude and be a good communicator with students, parents, and colleagues
Teach and coach a range of sports and physical activities to pupils of different ages and abilities
Ensure the class is managed effectively and efficiently
Emphasise the importance of teamwork and competition within a friendly environment

You will need:

A teaching qualification (PGCE, GTP, B.Ed, Cert Ed, BA with QTS or QTLS)
Experience of teaching PE to KS3 and KS
Confident classroom management and behaviour strategies
To be resilient and passionate about progressing within their teaching career
Initiative, drive and enthusiasm for inspiring pupils to engage with education and learning
The ability to deliver high quality sport and physical activity sessions across the National Curriculum
