I am delighted to be working with a key client of ours to recruit a Project Engineer on a full time, permanent basis.

My client, a leader in production of passive fire protection systems, is looking for a Project Engineer; a dynamic person who will ensure efficient running of projects, both in-house and off site, by supporting the Senior Project Manager to achieve successfrom the initial sales handover, to throughout the project lifecycle and final delivery.

The position is contracted to 37.5 hours per week and you will be working 8:00- 16:45 Monday-Thursday with a 12:30 finish on Fridays.

Your responsibilities will include;

  • Reviewing all project scope and technical documentation.
  • Checking drawings and technical specifications from clients and suppliers.
  • Obtaining quotations for products and services.
  • Raising manufacturing requests for materials / tools / equipment that are supplied inhouse.
  • Placing orders for products and services using Company financial systems.
  • Overseeing inhouse engineering design of mould tooling and providing project approval.
  • Monitoring and expediting delivery of inhouse and supplier provided items.
  • Arranging and coordinating logistics, utilising Company transportation subcontractors.
  • Ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with Company and legislative procedures.
  • Working in line with requirements of quality, health and safety, and environmental management systems.

Your position also includes site visits (international travel will be required for this role) and activities where you will be responsible for a number of things such as, producing site handover packs, supporting the Senior Project Manager with detailed siteschedule planning, monitoring and supporting site activities such as liaising with daily site supervisors and obtaining and reviewing all necessary site paperwork.

You will also collate and submit manufacturing record books detailing completed site activities.

You'll spend a lot of time speaking to and meeting with clients, negotiation will play a big part of this role so being able to think on your feet is essential as you'll often be required to find solutions to potential problems in real time.
