5 axis experience? Join our team.With proven experience in a CNC Machine Shop environment, setting/operating CNC 5-axis machines with Siemens Celos 840D/Heidenhain/ Fanuc controls.
You will be working in a small team to deliver high quality components to tight schedules, with a right first-time philosophy.
You will produce precision components from 3D computer models and paper drawings.- Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Create, load, examine and modify CNC programmes.
- Set up tools and load materials onto CNC machine.
- Carry out machining of components.
- Identify and report drawing errors and suggest improvements.
- Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat and tidy.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties within capability as required by the Line Manager.
- Compliance with all departmental H&S requirements
- Compliance, where appropriate with management, & environmental, systems, such as ISO 9001 & ISO 1400
- To play an active role in achieving departmental objectives such as cost reduction targets year on year, a reduction of external suppliers and an increase of inhouse capabilities.
PERSONNEL SPECIFICATION
Qualifications and Experience
- Fully skilled 5axis machinist with experience of working primarily with Siemens and Heidenhein controls, but Fanuc experience would be beneficial.
- Experience in programming on Openmind hyperMILL would be advantageous.
- Flexible towards other areas of the machine shop, therefore experience with CNC Turning and EDM Wire Eroding would also be advantageous.
- Used to working to fine tolerances with various materials.
- Able to interpret engineering drawings.
- Able to use a wide variety of measuring equipment.
- You must have sound technical knowledge of the machine shop and its workings.
- Computer literacy, strong communication and interpersonal skills are also essential.
- An excellent team player, ability to multitask with a strong awareness of health & safety considerations within a machine shop environment.
- Applicants should have a good general standard of education, with excellent written and spoken English.
- Experience of working in motorsport and aerospace an advantage.

Any JRM employee may be asked on occasion to perform additional or unrelated duties, after appropriate training has been given, if required.
Summary Terms & Conditions

Pension - Upon joining the Company, you will be automatically enrolled, with contributions starting after successful completion of the probationary period.

eave entitlement 25 days per year plus statutory holidays (compulsory shutdown of three days at Christmas).
Notice period - There will be an initial three-month probationary period, during which notice will be one week on either side. On successful completion of the probationary period notice will be one month.

Working hours - 08:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday.
