Description

The Senior Administrator Role

Is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive team who ensure that the university receives our vital tuition fee income and students receive their all important correct amount of funding support.

We are particularly keen to hear from applicants with experience of using student or customer record systems and advising customers on processes/regulations.

You must have an eye for detail, meticulous record keeping skills and excellent customer service skills (dealing with both staff and students).

You will receive extensive training to support your development in your role and have the opportunity to develop your data analysis and technical skills.

You will be responsible for a range of administrative activities including updating student records on the university records system, processing bulk reports, carrying out data quality checks and advising students about their student finance.

The Student Systems and Reporting Team

The Student Systems and Reporting team sits within the Academic Services part of the Student and Academic Services (SAS) Group Directorate.

SAS aims to deliver excellent services which are inclusive, innovative and place the user at the centre of all that we do.

We work jointly as a trusted partner with others across the University, and externally, to provide services to users which are accessible, responsive and aligned with the academic business of the University.

Student Systems and Reporting is a small, specialist unit which in addition to responsibilities for reporting curriculum and student data to HESA, also manages all the data exchanges with the Student Loans Company, ensuring that both the University and students receive the appropriate funding.

We also host a SITS Help Service desk and co-ordinate user acceptance testing of SITS upgrades.

We work in partnership with other Academic Services teams, particularly the Curriculum Data Management Services, Registry Operations, Student Policy, Casework and Compliance and Academic Administration teams.

The University is unable to sponsor the employment of international applicants in this role.
