The endoscopy unit delivers both diagnostic and complex therapeutic procedures, training, and the National Bowel Cancer screening programme. This is delivered across 4 dedicated endoscopy procedure rooms, an 11 bedded recovery area, admission and discharge areas. We have recently installed state of the art endoscope dry storage cabinets and the latest scope guide technology. We are open to embracing new technology to enhance and expand the care for our patients. We perform, on average, 9500 procedures per year.

They will play a role in writing and implementing agreed standardized protocols/guidelines with associated clinicians to improve organisation and delivery of high quality care according to best clinical governance models and in accordance with Trust, network and national guidelines (including BSG and JAG) for Endoscopy.
