We are currently recruiting for a Stores Assistant to join our team on a permanent basis, and to be based in Bristol.


As a member of the stores team the post holder will support the clinical staff in providing first class health care.

The role will involve the receipt of storage and issue

Your role will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Be responsible for accepting deliveries, and receipting them
  • Ensuring the safe movement of goods both within and outside the distribution store, with due regard to safety of others and the fabric of the building
  • Place orders for catering, housekeeping and wards stores
  • Deliver and collect stores/PPE from Wards and Department
  • Be able to communicate well with colleagues, seniors, other NHS employees and patients but respecting confidentiality
  • Be able to communicate effectively, both in writing and speech, which can be by using a radio
  • Be able to work well within a team, making sure all tasks are completed within the time given
  • Be flexible attitude to work, hours and duties
