We are seeking someone to work within our extremely busy Hire Desk Team, providing customer service and administration support within the team.
The duties are varied, with no two days being the same.It's an extremely busy department where you will be juggling responsibilities and at times dealing with a high volume of customer service calls.
You will need to be adept at managing conflicting priorities while still providing an exemplary customer service experience. Ideally, you will have experience in a customer service/admin background and be used to a fast-paced environment. Applicants should also be comfortable working as part of a team in a high paced office.What you will do:
Customer care
- Updating service records/certification
- Updating job cards
- Chase insurances
- Update machine tracker
- Timesheet input
- Keeping track of road tax
- Chasing order numbers
- Assisting in answering calls and taking messages (if busy)
Administration
- Securing, recording, and managing machinery certificates, updating our inhouse database as appropriate and chasing for any missing documentation
- Dealing with hire terminations, from agreeing the return of the equipment to updating our database
- General administration duties associated with supporting the team with attention to detail being key
You will have:
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills, ideally with at least 2 years' experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Previous experience of working in a demanding and fast past customer service environment would be advantageous.
- Experience of working with customer relationship management databases would be desirable although specific training will be provided for our inhouse system.
- Ability to prioritise when busy, maintaining a calm composure
- A good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is required
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a good communicator with both internal and external clients
- Commitment to learn and develop in the role

This is a full-time position requiring a physical presence at our headquarters in Kesgrave Ipswich.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
8am - 5:30pm
Infrequent Saturday shift
Supplemental Pay:
Discretionary annual bonus
