The Team Leader will support the Matron/Theatre Manager in the delivery of theatre objectives and will be responsible and accountable for managing capacity and staffing resources over the 24-hour period.

The role will be 70% non-clinical management and 30% clinical management.

The Jobholder will carry 24 hour continuing responsibility for the effective and efficient management of the Theatre(s) and provide management and professional leadership for the peri-operative team.

The jobholder is responsible for ensuring the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care are maintained to a high standard.

The job holder will manage the administrative and financial aspects of the Theatre(s) and will ensure cost effective use of resources and deployment of staff.

Current services comprise 7 theatres & 2 PACU suites. The role requires direct management of Peri-operative Practitioners and support staff. The jobholder is responsible for the department clinical budget.
