We are a global team split across the headquarters in Amsterdam and London. In 2021 we built, defined and published the Responsible Business and Sustainability (RB&S) strategy and framework.
Now with an established team we are working on accelerating a number of complex global projects as well as long-term cases that need to be built in order to continue our journey.
We support the business objective to reduce emissions from our own operations while also leveraging our scale to drive change through the wider market place.
All about the role
As a Senior Sustainability Reporting Specialist you will be responsible for helping us to better understand, measure and monitor our environmental impact by leading our sustainability reporting requirements.
If you get excited about diving into the details of our carbon footprint, translating our RB&S efforts into reporting updates and leading initiatives such as double materiality assessments following the latest standards under TCFD and CSRD then this is the role for you.
Besides working with our team of sustainability experts you will also work closely with other teams such as the Legal, Procurement, Global Reporting, Facilities and Finance teams.
Additionally, you will also have the opportunity to work together with external advisors within the field of carbon footprint measurement and sustainability reporting.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs part of this varied role, we're also counting on you to
- Lead the endtoend carbon footprint assessment in a unique industry from data gathering to ensuring the methodology is up to the latest developments
- Work with the local markets and data contributors to drive better data quality and governance on sustainability data.
- Understand and keep up to date of the reporting landscape for JET
- Drive coherence and consistency in our approach to Sustainability Performance and Reporting
- Lead assessments following latest reporting requirements, such as: scenario analysis and double materiality assessment
- Lead communication of the Responsible Business plan, with particular focus on emerging ESG reporting including, annual report, responsible business update, corporate website and other channels.
- Work cross functionally with stakeholders of varying levels of seniority across central reporting, finance, risk and legal teams
- Continuously look for improvements to make our carbon footprint calculation and reporting more efficient
- Passionate about building a responsible business with a technical understanding of sustainability topics
- Knowledge and previous experience with Carbon Footprint assessments following Greenhouse Gas Protocol and reporting via CDP
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing reporting strategy
- Strong analytical skills
- Previous experience in international matrix environments is preferred
- Proven experience in sustainability, reporting. responsible business, corporate affairs or comparable role, preferably in a large, ideally global, consumer facing organisation (Minimum 2 years)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a range of stakeholders
- Experience in representing a business externally with partners such as investors and NGOs
- Leadership experience, comfortable working with a variety of employee levels including senior stakeholders
- Fluent spoken and written English
